Albert Richard Palma, 96, of Ambridge, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born November 27, 1920, in Aliquippa, the son of the late Carlo and Sila (Colonna) Palma. He was a boilermaker for J&L/LTV Steel from 1942-1980.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia (Bartolac) Palma; three brothers, Nick, Charles and Johnny, and a sister, Iola.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Weber and Dr. Richard (Dr. Nancy Schott) Weber; daughter, Sandra Coon; four grandchildren, Jamie D. (Bill) Wahler, Eugene L. (Mary) Coon, Heath E. (Molly) Weber and Samantha J. (Karl) Hynes; four great-grandchildren, Shannon M. (Michael) Kakande, Layla A. Weber, Ellery A. Weber and Nolan C. Weber, and three great-great-grandchildren, Alonzo Martinez, Ethan M. Kakande and Eva Kakande.
As per the family’s request, all services were private. Arrangements were handled by GABAUER-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Church St., Ambridge,www.gabauermatterfuneralhome.com.
Interment took place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full Navy Military honors.
