Betty J. Mulig, 82, of New Galilee, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born August 30, 1934, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roy and Pippie (Corley) Compton, she was a former manufacturer for Hamilton Awning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Mulig; her first husband, Joseph Pieri; a son, Joseph Pieri and son-in-law, Clifford Glass.
Sue is survived by one son, Mark Pieri; two daughters, Lisa Pieri and Sharon Glass; one brother, Paul Compton; one sister, Evelyn Sweetnich; one grandson, Donavon and one great-grandson, Braylon, both of whom she raised; two special nephews, Roy “Buzz” Newhouse and David Newhouse; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
