William E. Tate, 71, of Darlington Twp., died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born November 6, 1944, in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Earl and Wilda (McKenzie) Tate, he was a member of the New Galilee VFW Post 8106, New Galilee LMBA, and the West Mayfield Vets. He loved woodworking, playing cards, and working in the yard.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Tate; two sons, Scott Hughes and wife, and Chad Tate; stepdaughter, Tawyna Donley, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Tate and wife Bonita; two grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Gary Donley.
