Anna M.(Lindsay) Urgitus, 78, of Big Beaver Borough, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at her home with her children and grandchildren at her side.
Born April 15,1939 at home in Darlington, she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Francis) Lindsay. Marcella was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid sports fan. She also enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play sports. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Urgitus Sr.; her infant son, Mark Joseph Urgitus; two brothers, Jack and Jim Lindsay; and her sister, Betty Roush.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia L. and Bob Roush, Enon Valley and Mary C. and Frank Schaffer, Ellwood City; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert T. Urgitus, East Palestine, OH; Kenneth E. Jr. and Pam Urgitus, Darlington and John A. Urgitus, Darlington; ten grandchildren, Robert and Laura Roush, Joe, Jim, Amanda, Matthew, Maya, and Jaclyn Urgitus, Alex Tita, and Tyler Schaffer; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Hall, Ella Mae Corbin and Marlene Market; and a devoted and caring friend, Marcy Tita, who Anna thought dearly of. In addition to her family she will be sadly missed by her German Shepherd, Trish, a.k.a. Babycakes.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.com, where prayers will be held on Wednesday at 9:20am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Monica’s- Darlington site (the former St. Rose of Lima). Father Bill Schwartz will officiate
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and son.
