Grace Mikita, 95, of New Brighton, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
She was born October 1, 1920, in Industry, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Sullivan) Muschweck. She was a deacon, a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, New Brighton Historical Society, New Brighton Federated Womans Club, Century Club, and an avid Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan.
She is survived by a son, John Edward (Karen) Mikita, Center Twp.; two daughters, Diana Lynn (John) McDonnell, Delmar, DE, Cheryl Ann Gauvey; sister, Marie Udick, Industry; grandson, Ryan John Mikita, Center Twp.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Mushweck, Mary Gerlach, and Gladys Miller; and brother-in-law, Jay Udick.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton, www.gabauerfuneralhome.com . Mrs. Mikita will lie in state Sunday from 2pm until time of service at 3pm in the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 115 N Mercer Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066. Pastor Jordan Rimmer will officiate.
Private Entombment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
