Karen M. Blobner, 83, of Chippewa Twp., passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born April 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Providence (LaGrossa) Fromm.   Karen was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was one of the founding members of the Ladies Guild at the former Christ the Divine Teacher Church.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, cake decorating, and playing in her neighborhood card club.

She is survived by her husband, George Blobner; her daughters, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Skvarla, Valerie Cook, and Melanie Lokomski; two grandchildren, David McCormick and Hailey Cook; and her brother, Eugene (Cynthia) Fromm.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Fromm.

Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8pm in the Gabauer Funeral Home 1133 Penn Avenue New Brighton, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Monica’s-Chippewa.  Everyone is asked to meet at the church for mass.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
