Zelma D. Skavenski, 84, of South Beaver Twp., formerly of Big Beaver, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born May 5, 1935 in Holidays Cove, WV, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Sylvia (Cowan) Nutter.   Zelma was an avid Steelers fan- and many described to her be a bit “feisty”.  The one thing that everyone knew about her was that her greatest joy was her family. She loved each and every one of them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Skavenski in 1991; and a son-in-law, Raymond Riley.

She is survived by her loving children, Wilma (Joe) Perdue, William E. Skavenski Jr. and Lou Ann, and Agnes (Dennis) Campbell; her 6 grandchildren, John (Steve) Riley, Nicole (Darwin) Parish, Thomas Skavenski and Stacey, Becky (Michael) Stredni, Jennifer Skavenski and Travis (April) Skavenski; 9 great-grandchildren and another one on the way; two brothers, Wayne (Barbara) Nutter and Paul (Judy) Nutter; two sisters, Rachel (Tom) Gammer and Naomi (Vern) Sonenstahl; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Skavenski.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home 117 Blackhawk Rd.Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com where a service will be held on Tuesday at 1pm.  Rev. Scott Graham will officiate.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Zelma’s many caregivers over the years for all of the love and support they gave to Zelma as well as to her family.
