Rose Mendicino Omogrosso, 90, a resident of Concordia at the Villa St Joseph and formerly of Patterson Twp, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019, in Concordia at Villa St. Joseph.
Born August 10, 1929, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elena (Puteri) Mendicino.  Rose was a sales associate for Kaufmann’s and Macy’s before retiring.  A member of St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, flower arranging, painting and gardening.  Rose’s passion and the thing that she loved most in this world, was her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Weido Omogrosso and a sister, Phyllis Pasco.
She is survived by her son, Dino (Patty) Omogrosso of Chippewa Twp.; her daughter, Ellen (Ralph) Esposito of Brighton Twp.; her sisters, Frances Boyle of Beaver, Mary Mendicino of Patterson Twp. and Edie (Frank) Namath of Chippewa Twp.; her brothers, Joseph (Barb) Mendicino of Patterson Heights and Frank (June) Mendicino of White Twp. and numerous nieces and nephews .
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where prayers will be held on Thursday at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s-Chippewa.  Fr. Kim Schreck will officiate.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, the staff of the Ebensburg Unit and Good Samaritan Hospice for the loving, compassionate care extended to Rose during her 5 year stay.

Deepest sympathy to Ellen and Dino,I took care of your Mom at the VSJ,until I retired.I never forget the good residents,she was a precious soul,we would laugh and talk about all kinds of things.RIP Rose!It was an honor to take care of her!
