Margaret Ann “Maggie” Mason, 73, of Ohioville, died unexpectedly Friday, January 20, 2017, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born March 29, 1943, in South Beaver Twp., the daughter of the late Herbert and Bernice (Denny) Cowan, she was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Monaca, a member of the Beaver County Historical Society and the Tansy Thyme Travelers. She was a retired nurse and had worked at the Masonic Village of Sewickley for over 20 years.
Maggie touched so many lives with her love, kindness and sense of humor. She was the one who kept her large family together through times of celebration and times of sorrow. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Mason; five brothers, James and Robert Cowan, and three infant brothers, and four sisters, Virginia Sweitzer, Phyllis Paul, Thelma Musgrave and Dorothy Meyers.
Surviving are her beloved children: two sons, Steven Mason and his wife Kathleen, Buffalo, and Matthew Mason, Industry; a daughter, Holly Ann Baranyk and her husband Tommy, Center Twp.; granddaughter, Nicole Mason, Glendale, Ariz.; sister, Bonnie Russell; special niece, Sue LaClair; beloved cat, Baby; many nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Conway Alliance Church, 1100 Highland Ave., Conway, PA 15027.
