Marianne (Foley) Hill, MSgt, 75, of Moon Twp., passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Rochester Manor and Villa.
She was born March 22, 1942 in Beaver Falls to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Dudas) Foley. Marianne graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1960. She attended Geneva College and Youngstown State University, and acquired a Master’s Degree in Criminology. She held several positions throughout the years, including a Store Detective, Private Investigator, Probation Parole Officer, and Waitress at the Eat’n Park Restaurant. In 1978 Marianne accepted the award for the Beaver County Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. She had a 25 year military career, beginning with serving in the United States Air Force, and later retiring from the Air National Guard, Air Refueling Wing, where she was a Safety Inspector. She loved going to the casino, where she was always a big winner, and she loved Elvis Presley. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Jada and Scott Thompson of Moon Twp., and William Derek and Boe Hill of Big Beaver; her grandchildren, Cheyenne and Justin Landon, Elizabeth and Jack Zebich, Shayna and Justin Modro, and Wyatt Hill; her great-grandchildren, Dalton Landon, Ethan Shanor, Madison Zebich, Taitum Landon, Riley Modro, and Morgan Zebich; her brothers, Thomas and Shirley Foley of New Brighton, James and Andrea Foley of North Sewickley, Michael and Diane Foley of Patterson Twp., and Patrick and Linda Foley of New Galilee; her sisters, Peggy Ann and Ron Young, of San Diego, CA, and Anne Marie Spanik and her fiancé Rick Trivilino of North Sewickley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other, David “Davie” Davis; and her sister, Patricia Henry.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and Tuesday from 11am until the time of service at noon in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 1117 5th Avenue, Beaver Falls www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. Rev. Donald W. MacNeil, of the Church of the Nazarene, New Brighton, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
The Special Unit will meet at 12:30pm at the cemetery to present full military honors.
