James Francis Rexroad Sr., 75, of Brighton Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2019, at his residence.
Born October 5, 1943, in New Brighton, Pa., he was the son of the late James Wesley and Mary (Stump) Rexroad.
James worked for Babcock & Wilcox for 20 years before retiring in 1987. For the next 15 years, he worked at Bud’s Place in Beaver Falls where he shared plenty of beers and laughs with all his friends. He loved watching the Steelers and traveling to Fort Myers Beach. He looked forward to the Beaver Falls Car Show every summer as he loved the oldies music and classic cars. He was a familiar face to everyone in Beaver County as he made his daily trip on the bus to Beaver Falls, the Mall, and everywhere in between!
Surviving are two sons, James F. Rexroad Jr. and Joseph M. Rexroad, Monaca, Pa.; two daughters, Dawn Heldreth, New Orleans, La., and Bridget (Russell) Peterson, Aliquippa, Pa. ; two brothers, Scott (Patti) Rexroad, Aliquippa,  and Gary Rexroad, Vanport; two sisters, Janet Raisley, Ellwood City,  and Carolyn Pike, Kerrville, Texas; and three grandchildren, Sonny and Chelsey Brooks, Beaver Falls, and Carissa Mammon, Lehigh Acres, Fla. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wayne Rexroad, in 2011, and his aunt, Madeline Jordan in 2016.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 10th from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a prayer service officiated by Pastor Jan Davis at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp.,www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
We would like to thank all the staff at Life Beaver County who devoted the last 10 years to promoting our father’s health and independence.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent directly to Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home in memory of James F. Rexroad Sr.

As a Mailman in Beaver Falls, I must have talked to Jim almost everyday for many years. We kidded around with each other often. I will miss seeing him and send my condolences to the entire family.
