Samuel Joseph Starcher, 22, of Daugherty Twp., went to live in peace with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Born March 13, 1997 in Weirton, WV, he was the son of Randall and Kathy (Rose) Starcher. Sam was a graduate of New Brighton High School in New Brighton Pa. Sam had a passion and talent for soccer, playing from a young age all through his high school years. He was also a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you were blessed enough to know Sam, you know what an impact he could have. His smile, his laugh, his funny sense of humor; Sam could light up the darkest of rooms just by walking in. Sam was put on this earth to bless others, and from the youngest of ages he did just that. Sam will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Kristen Elizabeth Starcher (Andrew Zucker) of Pittsburgh, Alyssa Anne Starcher, and Alexis Faye Starcher (Jake Kronstein) of Daugherty Twp.; four aunts, Bonnie (Leroy) Graham of Beaver Falls, Cindy Carlquist of New Brighton, Karen (Bill) Simon of Fombell and Lenora Lewis of West Springfield, PA; one uncle, Dan (Vickie) Rose of CO; two special friends who he considered to be family, Steve Salinas and Wesley Rigby; and numerous other friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Catherine F. Rose; his paternal grandfather, Joe Willard Starcher; and uncle, Richard W. Starcher.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm-8pm in the Gabauer Funeral Home 1133 Penn Avenue New Brighton- www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. Samuel will lie in state on Monday from 10am until the time of service at 11am in the Edgewood Baptist Church, 430 Edgewood Rd. Beaver Falls PA 15010. Pastor Michael Coleman will officiate.
Private interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery in North Sewickley Township.
I am sorry to hear about the passing on your son. God be with you and your family.
So sorry to receive word about Samuel. The beginning of the Apostle Paul's message in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 expresses better than what I can write.
It is with a hurting heart we share in your sorrow and our sincere condolences and sympathy. You and all your family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers. We are here for anything you need. Just call.
