Joann Antoinette (Cochell) Doedyns, 81, of Chippewa Township, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born May 13, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Russell and Sophia (Guicus) Cochell. One of her greatest accomplishments was graduating with her Masters Degree from Gevena College in 1996. Where she became the Assistance Dean of the Adult Degree Program. Joann’s biggest joy was her twins, Andrew & Hopeann and surviving the challenges of watching them grow into strong independent adults. That was until her grandson’s Andrew (Drew) and Aiden were born then they became her biggest joy round two. She was survived by husband, Andrew G. Doedyns, of over 52 years of marriage, who passed away less than 48 hours later. Joann is survived by her two children, Hopeann Doedyns of Louisville, KY and Andrew R. (Jill Maccaglia) Doedyns, grandsons Andrew E. and Aiden M. Doedyns of Beaver, PA; her sister Patricia (Ray) Kieffer of Portage Point, MI; brother-in-law (retired) Master Gunnery Sergeant Robert (Joyce) Doedyns of Kingsland, GA; several nieces and a nephew.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 10 am until the time of the services at Noon in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home – 117 Blackhawk Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. Pastor Allen Brooks will officiate.
