Anna Jean Roush Spencer, 95, of New Sewickley Twp., died on Friday, February 2, 2018, at The Grove in Harmony.

Born January 12, 1923, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of Dwight R. and Anna May (McMichael) Roush.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Espy G. Spencer.

Jean is survived by her sister, Mildred J. Roush, as well as four daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy (David) Freshcorn, Janice Spencer, Ruthanne (Martin) Kronk, and K. Ember Spencer. Jean has seven grandchildren: Jeremy Freshcorn, Matthew Kronk, Timothy (Beth) Kronk, Christina (David) Johnson, Abigail (Ian) Aschenbrenner, Robert (Breanne) Paraniuk, and Thomas (Kasey) Paraniuk; and six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Gabriel, Deklan, Elliott, Anna, and Cameron. She is also survived by two dear friends, Michelle and Betty. Jean was an active member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church in New Brighton, then joined New Sewickley Township Presbyterian Church in her later years. She was a quiet woman who lived a life of faith. Her greatest joy was her family, and she guided and led her daughters and grandchildren by her loving example.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Cambridge Village and The Grove in Harmony. We sincerely appreciate your patient, loving care of our Mom.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 5 p.m. at St. John’s Specialty Care Center, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars, PA 16046.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon’s Fund of New Sewickley Presbyterian Church, Rochester, Pa.
