Virginia Ruth Hartling, age 99, of Zelienople, formerly of Economy Borough, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople. Born November 16, 1916 in Moon Twp., she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Eisenhut) Hartling. Virginia was a retired Secretary and Bookkeeper, and was the oldest living member of Rehoboth Lutheran Church in Economy. Virginia is survived by a sister, Eveline Mattern of Zelienople; three nephews, Richard H., Raymond L., and Roy A. Mattern, and two nieces, Ruth McCausland and Eleanor Seiberling, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel McPeck and two brothers-in-law, Richard Mattern and Private James McPeck. Friends will be received on Friday, July 15, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at the Rehoboth Lutheran Church in Economy. Interment will immediately follow at Rehoboth Cemetery.
