Irene Geary Smiley, 93, of Chippewa Twp., died Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born May 19, 1926 in New Galilee, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Susana (Csobadi) Geary.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.  Irene was also a member of the Highland VFW #5945 Auxiliary, the Monaca American Legion # 580 Ladies Auxiliary, and the New Brighton Croation Club, where she participated in the kolo dance group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Smiley; five brothers, Alex, Joe, Arthur, Steve and Bill Geary; and three sisters, Emma Dunn, Margaret Kamerdiner and Mary Galimi.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Randy) McCracken, Debra (Matthew) McCauley, Linda Mendez and Patti Guzman; her six grandchildren, David Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Megan Why, Lauren (Harry) Hall, Kara Mendez, and J.J. Guzman; her four great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Gabriel Why, Landon Hall and Hailey Hall; her brother, John (Mildred) Geary; her sister, Helen Smiley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 am until time of service at noon at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2679 Darlington Rd. Beaver Falls PA 15010.  Pastor Eric Ash will officiate.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home- 117 Blackhawk Rd. Chippewa Twp.

The family would like to give special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice- Heritage Valley, Beaver, for all of the care given to Irene.
