Obituary
Agnes B. Midon, 93, of Patterson Twp., passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
She was born on November 18, 1931, to the late Steven and Helen Vido. Agnes was a devoted member of St. Monica Church of the St. Augustine Parish. Her faith guided her throughout her life, and she was an active participant in various church groups, offering her time, talents, and friendship to her parish community. Agnes nurtured both her garden and her kitchen with a loving touch, as well as her family. Family was at the heart of Agnes’ life, and she cherished time spent with her loved ones.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Colonel (R) Gene) Palka; a sister, Margaret Monroe; two grandchildren, Colonel Gene Palka (Melissa) and Holly Pluff (Dan); and seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Maliyah, Haley, Hunter, Brock, Easton, and Axel.
In addition to her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her former husband, William Midon, her brother, Rudolph Vido, two sisters, Angeline Wilson, Mary Vido; and a stepsister, Stephanie.
Friends will be received on Monday June 9th 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 117 Blackhawk Road Beaver Falls Pa 15010.
Prayers will be offered Tuesday June 10th at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Road Beaver Falls Pa 15010. A reception will follow in the Church social hall.
Agnes will be cremated following mass and inurnment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaver Falls.

Cindy and I want to express our sincere thanks to those who were able to attend the viewings, funeral mass, or reception, as we celebrated the life of our Mother/Mother-in-law, Agnes Midon. We are especially grateful to those who adorned the funeral home with beautiful flowers. Our special thanks to the Gabauer-Lutton staff, Father Naugle and the funeral ministry of Saint Monica, and the amazing vocalist and organist who added so much to the mass.
