Amy S.
Ayers
Oct 6, 1956 — Mar 17, 2026
Amy S. Ayers, 69, of Baden, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls.
Born in Rochester on October 6, 1956, she was the daughter of Benjamin Sherman and the late Cynthia (Leonard) Osborne.
Amy was a registered nurse and worked at many hospitals around Pittsburgh. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and the comfort of home, where Amy could often be found enjoying her favorite television shows—especially Survivor, which she watched with enthusiasm. Amy was a true homebody at heart, she also loved exploring new flavors, whether by trying different restaurants or in her own kitchen through cooking and baking. She had a deep appreciation for reading, always eager to get lost in a good book. Some of Amy's happiest moments were spent cheering on her son at his school sporting events, where her pride and love for him shone brightly. Amy cherished the song "Dancing in the Moonlight," which never failed to bring her a sense of joy and nostalgia.
"My greatest supporter—my wife, my BooBoo—never once deterred me from my love for my students, the players I coached, or fishing. But above all, your love for our son was the greatest gift you ever gave me, and for that I will be eternally thankful."
"You are the best mom a son could ask for and miss you very much".
Amy is survived by her beloved husband of 30 ½ years, Donald Paul Ayers; her son, Benjamin Thomas (Sirikorn "Fai" Rattanasang) Ayers; her step-mother, Barbara Sherman; her mother-in-law, Gloria Ayers; her sisters, Tana (John) Marshall and Tina McElroy; her sisters-in-law, Debra S. (Karl) McIntyre, Linda J. (Carl) Emberger, and Gail M. (Don) Beideman; her nieces and nephews, Stephen, Kimberly, Carl, Christian, Robert, Gloria, Linda, Andy, Lindsey, and Logan; along with numerous extended family and friends.
In addition to her mother, Amy is preceded in death by her brother Benjamin Louis Sherman Jr.; and her brother-in-law, John Marshall.
All services for Amy were private, her wishes for cremation will be honored. The GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1133 Penn Ave New Brighton, PA 15066, was honored to care for Amy and her family during this most difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
