Beatrice Dorothea
"Bea" Brobeck
Aug 8, 1937 — Sep 26, 2023
Beatrice "Bea" Dorothea Brobeck (McIntyre), 86, of Ohioville, PA, departed us on September 26, 2023.
Bea was born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1937 to Clarence "Tubby" James and Dorothea McIntyre. Shortly after the start of WWII, Bea's father joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific theater. Bea and most of her siblings were sent to St. Paul's orphanage and raised by the "Mercy" nuns, of which her favorite was Sister Agnus ("Aggie"). Bea held several jobs before working with the 911 th Airwing at Pittsburgh International Airport, where she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Brobeck of Rochester, PA, to whom she was happily married for 60 years. She was the proud mother of five children – Michael (Lisa), Heather (Ron) Cook, Jason (Angie), William (Kathy), and Barbara (Paul) Mongolluzzo. Bea fulfilled her dream working for the airlines — as a USAir baggage call center representative and as a Continental Airlines flight attendant. Above all, Bea was a devout Christian in the service of God. She was a beacon of light and hope to all around her, unselfishly keeping everyone safe and healthy through the power of prayer. She wanted nothing for herself and is now with God in his holy kingdom, preparing for the arrival of the rest of her family that she so dearly loved.
Bea was preceded in death by her siblings Pete, Clarence ("Mate"), Gerard (Herky), and Leo and is survived by her husband Bill, sister Mary, all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
