Obituary

Ben F. Morelli, 83, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born on January 28, 1938 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Elvira (Trasport) Morelli.

Benny was a steel worker with Babcock & Wilcox, later retiring from Col-fin Steel Specialty. He was a faithful man and a lifelong member of the YMCA which he loved and spent countless hours working out and enjoying the company of his good friends. He was an avid outdoorsman; hiking and bowhunting were among his favorites, as well as a member of the Turner’s Club. Most importantly, although not often expressed, Ben loved and was extremely proud of his family. 

Benny is survived by his lovely bride of 35 years, Judith A. (Forsberg) Morelli; his children, Frank and Kim Morelli, Lisa Morelli-Jendrasik; his step children, John and Jodi Zook, Randy and Geraldine Zook, Michael and Shelley Zook, Matt and Linda Zook, and Christine Vantsant; grandchildren, Benjamin and Dawn Morelli, Michael and Christina Morelli, Nicholas and Emily Morelli, Zachary and Alexis Morelli, Vincenzo and Marisa DiBerardino, Antonio DiBerardino, Jamie Harris, Jeff Allison, Sara Zook, Hayden, Adam, and Ethan Zook, Rachel Zook, Jessica, Jennifer, and Alex Vantsant, Keri Wright, and Samie Vaccaro; great-grandchildren, Marlo, Luca, Aubrey, Kellan, Sidney, Frankie, Marshall, Owen, and Zoey Morelli, Toni, and Vito DiBerardino;a sister and brother in-law Frances and Bert Pickard; many cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com (724) 846-4500.  Prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:30AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church. 

Ben's family is requesting that all attending the visitation and/or mass wear facemasks for the well being of everyone.
