Bernie Yonkovitz, 76, of Hanover Twp., passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 in his residence.
Born April 28, 1947 in West Homestead, he was the son of the late Paul and Anna (Corbian) Yonkovitz. He worked as an engineer for American Airlines and loved the outdoors. He was a member of NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and ASM (American Society of Metals).
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Diane (Hudock) Yonkovitz; his 2 daughters, Cassia Spring and Tracey (Jeremy Duggan) Barber; his 3 grandchildren, Brittnee Yonkovitz and Aiden and Maddison Duggan; his mother-in-law; his sisters-in law and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Paul and Arthur Yonkovitz.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 12th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS. INC- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp-www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com where prayers will be held on Friday, October 13th at 10:00am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30am at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church of St. Augustine Parish- 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls PA 15010. Fr. John Naugle will officiate.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
