Obituary

Betsy Ann Shanor, 75, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 20, 2026, at Providence Health & Rehab Center.

Born on February 15, 1951, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Jay Fred and Helen (Duncan) Dean.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Shanor and her brother Thomas Dean.

Betsy was a devoted member of College Hill Morado Faith Tabernacle Church in Beaver Falls, where her faith was a very important part of her life. She dedicated many years of service as a phlebotomist at Beaver County Medical Center, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind nature.

She is survived by her four sons, Greg Shanor, Jamie Shanor (Megan), Kris Shanor, and Jason Shanor, her siblings, Alene Joiner (Bill), Susan Olson, Dottie McStay, Jay Fred Dean Jr., Kathy Park (Ben), Rusty Pickerd, and Rob Dean. Betsy also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Aaron and Aubrey Shanor, twins of Jamie and Megan, and Jessie Shanor, son of Greg, along with many special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Betsy will be remembered for her quiet strength, her devotion to her family and her faith, and the care she showed to those around her.

In honor of Betsy’s wishes, she will be cremated along with a private family service.
