Obituary

Bradley “Brad” D. Felger, 70, of Rochester, went home to get his wings on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Born June 21, 1952, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Mamie (Shaffer) Felger and the late John Felger.  Brad was a graduate of Poland High School, where he set the school record for the high jump and long jump in 1970. His record of 22 ½ feet for the long jump still stands today. In 2021 he was inducted into their Hall of Fame.  Brad was employed at Norfolk Southern Railroad as a clerk and subsequently a materials foreman until his retirement in 2013 after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (Adams) Felger; his children, Brandon (Beth) Felger, Brett (Chelsey) Felger, Philip (Jessica) Quinn, Douglas (Kathleen “Squid”) Quinn, John Quinn, and Pamela Quinn; a brother, Bart (Penny) Felger; a sister, Shelley (Andy) Carter; his grandchildren, Logan, Cooper, and Hayden Felger; numerous step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Brad’s life will take place at a later date.
