Obituary
Carl J Troy, 64, of Beaver Falls, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, February 15th, 2025.
Carl was born in November 1960, in Beaver Falls, PA, the fourth of seven siblings and first son of Pat (Cavanaugh) and Carl S. Troy.
Carl graduated from Blackhawk High School in 1979 before venturing west and living most of his adult life in Long Beach, California, and Durango, Colorado.
Carl loved to cook and made it his profession for many years. In his retirement, he returned to Beaver Falls where he volunteered for Meals on Wheels and helped care for his parents, Pat and Carl.
Carl was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He was masterful in remaining kind and goofy despite being in chronic pain from lifelong health issues. He always had a smile on his face and was often the cheeriest and loudest person in the room.
Carl is survived by his loving parents, Pat and Carl; four sisters – Marianne (Rick) Knouse, Patty (Robert) Selby, Janet (Robert, deceased) Coy, Kathleen Troy, Sister in Law, Judy Troy and brother, Mike Troy. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, including his good friend Gina Heineman from Durango.
Carl was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Louis and Angeline Troy; Maternal Grandparents John and Catherine Cavanaugh; Infant sister; brother, David ( Judy) Troy, and brother in law, Robert Coy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from 11AM until the time of Blessing Service at 2PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Blackhawk Meals on Wheels- PO Box 1573, Beaver Falls PA 15010.

Carl, aka “Carlos my Lil’ Love Bug” what is the sweetest, most thoughtful, caring and funny friend I have ever known. Always there checking up on me. Always sending me flowers for my birthday or Valentine’s Day or just to cheer me up. He sent me flowers the day before he died, which I will dry and press and treasure forever, just like I treasure him in my heart forever.. I will miss my friend more than you know.. He was sweetness and unconditional love in a crazy world we are all trying so hard to navigate in. He was sunshine to my soul. I’ve saved all of his voicemails, just because they touched my heart and I couldn’t part with them. RIP Carlos My Lil’ Love Bug! I love you, until we meet again, Toodles, and Muaw!!!!!!!!

Mike, Lori and I noticed the name and looked to see if this was your brother – we were sad to see that it was. I loved the photo and the obituary – he seemed like a great guy. I laughed to see that he also got the bug to head out west, and he seemed to have a servant’s heart as you do as well. We are sorry for your loss. My own brother passed away this December. We are keeping you and your family in our prayers.
