Obituary

Carl M. Plassmeyer, 81, of North Sewickley Twp., died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born January 4, 1935, in New Brighton, a son of the late Joseph and Thelma (Boren) Plassmeyer, he was a retired steelworker for Standard Steel Specialty. Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, Alice Jean (Lutz) Plassmeyer; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Suzy Plassmeyer, Big Beaver; Ronald C. and Teri Plassmeyer, Franklin Twp., and Daniel M. and Lisa Plassmeyer, North Sewickley Twp.; a sister, Marjorie “June” McCoy; seven grandchildren, Shawn (JoyLyn) Plassmeyer, Shannon (Jamie) Jolly, Kodi, Dylan, Levi and Clayton Plassmeyer, and Amanda (Mark) Beachem; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Jolly, Grace and McCartney Plassmeyer, Emma and Brodi Beachem, and Kallen Plassmeyer; a daughter-in-law, Kristen Scopellite-Plassmeyer, Tennessee, and a brother-in-law, William Pasquale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary A. Plassmeyer, in 2007; a daughter, Janet L. Plassmeyer, in 2000; a brother, Merle Plassmeyer; a brother-in-law, Charles “Tim” McCoy, and two sisters-in-law, Opal Plassmeyer and Barbara Pasquale.
