Obituary
Carlo Anthony Pisani, 90, lifelong resident of Koppel, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at home with his loving wife and family.
Born on August 7, 1931, he was the son of the late Domenic and Josephine (Iorfida) Pisani. Carlo was a steel worker with Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, later McDermott Steel. He was a lifelong Roman Catholic who loved Jesus, his Savior. Carlo was also an avid sportsman, who went hunting with his son, Domenic, and many other relatives and friends. He loved gardening and beekeeping, and could fix and repair anything. He called himself “a Jack of all trades and master of none.” But most importantly, Carlo loved his family. He always stressed the importance and commitment to his children and grandchildren, and lived this by example. He said, “If you have a loving family, you have it all.”
Carlo is survived by his wife of 70 years, Delia A. Pisani; children Cindy (Dave) Morrison, Susan (Chuck) Branz, Domenic (Sandy) Pisani, Carla Cole, and Donna (Jeff) Policaro; grandchildren, Joshua, Collin, Jamie (Eric), Nathan, Carlo, Lauren (Tom), Domenic (Tammy), Danielle (Sam), Michaela, Jared (Jewel), Jacob, Jordan, Levi (Courtney), Carly, Whitney (Sean), and Alysia (Matt); 14 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Isaac, Camden, Jayden, Jack, Cole, Kinley, McKenna, Harper, Cruz, Alina, Nyla, Declan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Pisani and sisters, Betty Esoldo and Alvida Lonnett.
A private family service will be held, along with an interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Township, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.

My deepest sympathies Dominic and family. I always enjoyed talking to your Dad in the mill, at the rabbit hunts or when I saw him on the street. Such a humble man that almost blushed when I called him “Mr” Pisani. He would always say just call me Carlo..and I would say..Ok Mr Pisani.

To the family of Mr. Carlo Pisani, my sincere condolences to all of you at this sad time. My fondest memory of him was making the famous Easter Bread at Queen of Heaven (St. Teresa) Catholic church in Koppel, he took such pride in the process. I remember one day after the church was closed, I saw him and Delia out and I had to show him a photo of the Easter Bread I had made on my own, (churchs recipe), I told him I had to take a photo to save in case I never made it again, he just laughed but said good job. He was a wonderful person no doubt, and will be truly missed by all who knew him. His smile was contagious and his friendly personality was just how the people in Koppel were growing up there, everybody knew everyone. Koppels loss, Heavens gain.
