Catherine Eleanor Batto, 82, of Daugherty Township, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away Sunday October 27 in her home. She was born November 3, 1936 in Beaver Falls and was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pavlinch Malkoch. She was affiliated with the Christian Missionary and Alliance churches in Beaver and New Brighton and had been in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Bridgewater and Daugherty Volunteer Fire Departments. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Earl Batto in 2011 and siblings Joseph, George and Lawrence Malkoch and Anna Clark. She is survived by her son Rick Batto and his fiancée Rochelle Boyer, Freedom, daughter Kathy Jo (Rusty) Zahn, Rochester, sister Rita Collins, Vanport, grandchildren, Benjamin (Kristen) Zahn, Courtney Zahn, Katie Jo Zahn, Mason Miller, Katlyn Miller and Cassandra Miller and a great granddaughter Abigale Goerhing. Friends will be received Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions in Catherine’s memory be sent to Vitas Hospice 2009 Mackenzie Way, Cranberry Township Township, PA 16066
