Obituary

Cathy J. Glumac, 70, of Baden entered into the presence of God on Friday, September 17, 2021.  Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Glumac, father and mother, Clyde and Ruth McCain of East Liverpool, her sister, Ethel Fink and brother, Fred. Cathy was born in East Liverpool, OH and met her future husband, Bob, not too long after high school.  They were married in 1972 and remained married for 47 years, until Bob’s death. Cathy dedicated her life to the Savior, Jesus Christ and helped raised her family in the Ambridge Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, spending the last twenty years of her journey of faith at New Brighton Christian Assembly (Life Family Church).  Cathy’s greatest joy was raising her sons, Shawn and Michael, and she was far too gracious in bailing them out of trouble and butt-whippings from their dad…even when they deserved it.  Her sons are proud of her.  She also loved smothering her granddaughters, Jordyn, Abigail, Selah and Hadassah with kisses and “chippies and dippies” when they would spend the night!  She worked for nearly 20 years as a librarian and loved having her granddaughters spend portions of their day with her at the Baden library.

Shawn (Angela) and Mike (Candace) look forward with the blessed hope to being reunited with their parents in Heaven and seeing them face-to-face in Glory.  All are welcome to celebrate Cathy’s life on Wednesday from 3-6PM at the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 23rd at 10AM; Pastor Sam DeMarco will be sharing the good news of the gospel and conducting the service with Shawn & Michael Glumac.  Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, love offerings in Cathy’s honor may be sent to Life Family Church, 1810 Valley Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066.
