Charles Allen Schmidt, 59, of Darlington, died Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Heritage Valley Beaver.Born June 20, 1956 in McKees Rocks, son of Viola (Wilson) Schmidt, Beaver, and the late Charles H. Schmidt. He was a member of the Possum Hollow Sportsman Club and the Archery Club. He was an avid hunter and loved to jump on his motorcycle and ride.Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Yvonne (Sloppy) Schmidt; three sons, Jeremy (Jen) Ely, Ohioville, Christopher (Chris) Schmidt, Pittsburgh, Cory (Kelly) Schmidt, Koppel; five sisters, Colleen (Bob) McLaughlin, Uniontown, Cheryl (Gary) Colombo, Ellwood City, Peg (Randy) Opel, Pittsburgh, Gloria (Allan Foster) Schmidt, Midland, Gail (Chuck) Miller, East Liverpool; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Brenda) Sloppy, Beaver, and Mike (Jacque) Gray, Fombell; two grandchildren, Ainsley Paige and Gunnar Allen Ely; and several aunts, nieces, and nephews.Friends will be received Saturday from 2 until the time of service at 6pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp.,www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.comInterment will be private.The family requests that contributions be made in Charles’s name to Team Flip Flop of the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
