Obituary

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hands of God. Charles E. Sommers III, 42, of Beaver Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. As the former owner of the Off The Top and The Clip Joint, he was an excellent barber, “No one could do a fade like Chuck Sommers.” Charles was born on July 4, 1974, in Ellwood City. He is survived by his loving mother, Debra Carney Sommers; his daughter, the light of his life and his pride and joy, Yasmina Stayla Sommers; faithful friend, Shelly Eaton; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special nephews. Chuck will be dearly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Doris Carney. Close family and friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where a service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
