Charles Edward Hall, Jr.

Charles Edward Hall, Jr., 73, passed away February 2, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” MacKallor Hall who resides at the home.
Mr. Hall was born on December 9, 1943 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania a son of the late Charles Edward Hall and Dorothy Marsh Hall. He was a graduate of Beaver Area High School, and graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
Mr. Hall spent most of his life working in the steel industry. He began his career in Pennsylvania and relocated to New Jersey where he met his wife. Together they moved to California, Utah, Alabama and eventually to High Point. During his career he was a chief metallurgist and eventually retired as a regional sales engineer which required him to spend countless hours traveling the east coast.
He was a life member and former Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of California at Gardena Moneta Lodge #372.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching sports with his family. He had a passion for classic cars and owned two 1965 Ford Falcons that he cherished. He also loved spending time with his three children and has a special relationship with each of them.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hall is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kristin E. Hall and her husband, Danny Price of Duck Key, Florida; his two sons, Charles E. Hall, III and David C. Hall both of the residence; his sister, Marsha Schaer of Beaver, Pennsylvania; his uncle, Newton Myers of San Diego, California; his aunt Loretta Marsh of Beaver, Pennsylvania; and his two sisters-in-law, Janet Lawrence and her husband, Peter of Boonton, New Jersey and Barbara MacKallor and Mike Manzo of Ledgewood, New Jersey.
A celebration of life service will be at Noon. Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver, with Rev. Emmett Anderson of the Beaver United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
