Charles “Chuck” Shoben
Bridgewater

Charles “Chuck” Shoben of Bridgewater passed away Saturday March 25 with his loving wife by his side. Chuck was the son of the late John and Mary Chobin of West Newton. He had served in the Army Air Corps 15th Air Force during WWII. Upon his return, he completed his bachelors degree at Duquesne University, worked for G.M. for over 20 years, and owned and operated Motive Parts in Rochester until 1993. Chuck is most notable for owning Captain’s Quarters Marina in Bridgewater for over 30 years. He will be remembered and missed by many in the boating community. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Seybert Shoben in 1977, his second wife Ruth Stevens Shoben in 2004, 2 brothers, Mike and John and his sister, Mary and stepson Erik Lohr. He will be sadly missed by his family, including his wife Judith Miller Shoben, daughter, Beverly Romesburg, stepson, Donald Lohr, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Ann and Irene and brother George. Friends will be received Monday from 11 until service time at Noon in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver. Reverend Nathaniel Christman of the Oak Grove Lutheran Church in New Sewickley Township will officiate. Private interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full military honors at the funeral home Monday at Noon.
