Christine B. Heist

Christine R. Heist, 91, of Brighton Township, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Brighton Township.

She was born October, 2, 1924, in Zelienople and was the daughter of the late Claude and Anna Hebreling Bauder. Christine had lived in the Beaver area 58 years, was a retired secretary for the Beaver Area School District and a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Beaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Heist, in 1965; a son, William Heist, in 1970, and seven siblings.

Surviving her are a daughter, Beth (Mike) Lindemann, Beaver; two grandchildren, Dana Harris and Alana McKeel; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Nelson, Grove City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the TODD FUNERAL HOME, 340 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM by Reverend Freda Snyder. Interment will be in Zelienople Cemetery.
