Obituary
Claudia Clare (Keener) Crivelli, formerly of Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Brighton Township after a day visiting with her loving family. She was 85 years old and still had a smile that could light up a room. Claudia retained her youthful disposition throughout her life and loved being a mother, grandmother, and aunt, entertaining family and friends, and traveling. She was affectionately known as “Red” by her loved ones and “Gummy” to her grandchildren.
Born in 1936, in McKees Rocks, she was the second daughter of the late Herman and Paulette (Hollinger) Keener. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, the late Dalton A. Keener. Claudia graduated from McKees Rocks High and worked at a local photography studio before marrying and becoming a young mother of four children. She was the ‘north star’ in the lives of her children and grandchildren and was the light and love of the family. Claudia was more than happy to open her home and her heart to her many family members. Being kind and generous came easy to her.
Claudia is survived by her devoted children, Paulette Priselac (late Paul) of Kissimmee, FL, Carmella Matusin (John) of Monaca, PA, Pamela Crivelli (Russell Ashford) of Beaver, PA, Nicholas Crivelli (Dr. Kathy Crivelli) of Beaver, PA, and her seven grandchildren: Ryan Priselac, Ashley Myers (Robby), Sean Matusin, Cory Matusin (Olivia), Alexander Crivelli, Courtney Crivelli, and Cameron Crivelli. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Cecilia and Lucia Matusin, her loving sister, Paulette (late Richard) Pongratz of Kennedy Township, and many nephews, nieces, and friends. Claudia will be sadly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
The Crivelli Family would like to thank the staff of St. Barnabas—Beaver Meadows in Brighton Township and the staff of St. Barnabas Hospice Care for their loving care and support of Claudiaand her family.

She was my godmother, we called her Red. She was always so very sweet to me. My parents were good friends of hers and we spent many nights having fondue together.
Condolences.

Dear Pamela,
Fares and I are sending our deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your beautiful mom. So many times you made the long drive to see her – and in recent years – to help her. We are so glad you were there in these past months. Always, your love for her was always so clear. We’ve added a tree to be planted along with the others here. We will be thinking of you on Friday during the funeral, and we hope to see you in DC or PA very soon.
Lots of love.
Jane
