Daniel Collin Contenta, Sr., 57, of East Rochester, died Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in his residence.

Born July 2, 1966 in Rochester, he was the son of the late James and Bonita (Betz) Contenta.  Daniel loved the outdoors, and enjoyed raising his pigeons.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

He is survived by his son, Danny (Katrina) Contenta; 4 grandchildren, Aliyah, Briar, Emberly and Dominic; his siblings, Gloria Contenta, James J., Jr. (Barb) Contenta; and Dana Contenta; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 12 ^th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC- 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, where a service will be held on Thursday, July 13 ^th at 11am. Rev. Lee Bittner will officiate.

Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
