Obituary

David Allen Jansto, 61, of Titusville, FL, passed away on April 4, 2022 at his home.
Born on January 12, 1961 in Beaver Falls, PA, he was the son of the late John and Eleanor Jansto.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, John (Sonny) Jansto, Thomas Jansto, and Joseph Jansto.
He was a member of the Blackhawk High School Class of 1978.
Left to cherish his memories are his siblings, Patricia Sigbornsen, Peggy (Doug) Jones, James (Judy) Jansto, Betty (Del) Iben, Kathy (Dave) Thumm, Gene (Gina) Jansto, and Michael (Amy) Jansto, his sisters-in-law Charlene Jansto and Carol Jansto and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his special friend Gail Morey, and his canine friends, Annie and Rio.
When away he would see Annie waiting for him on the roof of his single story home (she was a pro at climbing the ladder) watching for him to return. David loved people and helping out in the community. He would volunteer yearly at the fair for St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church for their charitable needs by preparing his mother’s special homemade recipe of stuffed cabbages. He was a volunteer at the Hummingbird Pantry Food Bank to distribute food to the needy. He spent many hours doing carpentry and whatever else was needed at the White Sands Buddhist Temple. He loved gardening and was always willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. On Sundays, David attended the Park Avenue Baptist Church. During his leisure time, David would be at the Marina Dog Park with Annie and Rio. He will be sadly missed by many!
As quoted by a dear friend, “Dave maintained a deep and unwavering faith. God was in this man’s heart, and I know my friend is safe, healed and forgiven in His arms.”
Friends will be received at the Gabauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, on Friday from 3-6PM after which time a Blessing Service will be held with Fr. Bob Miller as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gabauer Funeral Home.

  2. I am so sorry to have learned of David passing. I just found out 4 days ago. I sure wish that someone close to him would have let me know. David was a person with a neat sense of humor. I always enjoyed spending time with him. I have tried to reach out to find out what happened to him. I always let him know he had my friendship, but what he didn’t know is I really loved him. Rest in Peace David, I’ll see you again someday,
