Obituary
David Wayne Rittelmann, 68, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at The Washington Hospital, Washington, PA after a long illness.
He is preceded in death by an infant brother, William Rittelmann, an infant sister, Mary Beth Rittelmann, and by his mother, Elizabeth (Suprock) Rittelmann.
He is survived by his father, David William Rittelmann, Beaver Falls, PA; his wife, Constance Rittelmann, Beaver Falls, PA; his daughter, Julia Rittelmann, Baden, PA; his son, David Michael Rittelmann and wife Stephanie, Battle Creek, MI; step-sons, Michael See, Pittsburgh, PA, and Ryan See, San Antonio, TX; step-daughter, Susan Lowry, Export, PA.
He is also survived by his former wife, Christine (Karnis) Rittelmann, Beaver Falls, the mother of his children; his sisters, Michelle Rittelmann Baker and spouse Jackie Baker, Louisville, KY, and Rebecca Rittelmann Dever and husband Mark, Beaver, PA; and a brother, Eric Rittelmann and wife Cathi, Hopewell Twp., PA.
Following his graduation from Beaver Falls High School in 1971, he served in the United States Navy from 1972-1978 and was honorably discharged as a Nuclear Trained Machinist Mate First Class Petty Officer. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2020 following 41 years of steadfast and dedicated service.
His hobbies included gardening, photography, and he always loved a cold Budweiser. A Western Pennsylvanian through and through, he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. His pal and constant companion was Maggie, his black Labrador Retriever, who always loved a good walk and truck ride.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 10AM-12PM, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Beaver County Special Unit on Wednesday at 11AM. Prayers will be offered at 11:20AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton at 12 Noon.

There are no words that can be said to ease the hurt you are going through. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. In 35 years I have known and worked with Dave- I learned how important all his family was to him and how much he loved you and his dog.

Im so sorry for your loss of David Wayne, Ill always remember the wonderful times we had at the Suprock family Christmas parties and the Rittelmann family picnics. David Wayne was so full of fun and joy, we will miss him.
