  2. Jeff M says:

Dave was already a senior mechanic when I came into the BMC more than 20 years ago. Working different shifts, we seldom crossed paths and I only knew him then by his reputation as one of the most capable mechanics in the plant. Eventually we were thrown together on various work projects. I cannot express the respect that I gained for Dave, his knowledge of the equipment was vast and his ability to think outside the box was uncanny. We ultimately became very good friends. There are few people that i have such high regard for as I have for Dave. Rest In Peace, buddy. l wish you could have hung around longer and I’m sad to see you go. Jeff M

  5. So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I served with Dave in the US Navy. We went to boot camp at RTC Orlando, MMA school at Great Lakes. I was bumped up two classes for NPS and NPTU and was a Staff Pickup at NPTU, Idaho Falls, so, when Dave and Gary Mosely came out to Idaho, we shared an apartment in Pocatello, ID for six months. His then girlfriend, Chrissi, came out to visit and was so lovely. Dave was a joy to be around. He helped me drive my 1972 Mach 1 Mustang from Massachusetts to Great Lakes one weekend. What a road trip that was! So many memories. I know he is sorely missed.
