Obituary

Donald Lee Pletz, 60, of South Beaver Township, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the DePaul Medical Center, Bridgetown, Missouri.

Born on December 22, 1963, he was the son of the late Albert and Beatrice (Muehlbauer) Pletz.

Don was a loving and devoted husband, father and Pap Pap. His family was the most important part of his life. He loved spending any free time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, swimming, having bonfires, family dinners, and just enjoying time with them. Don had been a long-haul truck driver for over 20 years and loved the trucking industry. He was a loyal employee at Copart Auto Auctions and enjoyed driving his truck every day. He was also a loyal Chevy guy and loved spending his free time in the garage restoring his Chevy truck, 1973 Cutless Supreme, and many other vehicles over the years including a 1950 Dodge. Lots of car projects meant many trips to the junkyard with his good buddies Joe and Art.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kimberly (Welch) Pletz; his children, Crystal (Sean) Stadnik, Ashley Stadnik, and Zackery (Katelyn) Schuler; grandchildren, Aaron, Aaliyah, Nora Mae, Deven, Carter, and Khloe; father-in-law, William McComb; four brothers, Albert "Butch" (Ida) Pletz, Jr., Ronald (Mary) Pletz, Frank (Robin) Pletz, and Keith (Cheryl) Pletz; four sisters, Peggy (Walter) Izzo, Darlene Hiltz, Debbie (Jack) Peters, and Kathy "Tina" (Joe) Held;a sister-in-law, Lola Pletz; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents,

Don was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Mahoney-Pletz; a brother, Michael Pletz, Sr.; two sisters, Linda Pletz and Patty Crow-Pletz; a mother-in-law, Elizabeth McComb; and a brother-in-law, Bill Hiltz.
