Donald Thomas Southwick

Formerly of Beaver

Donald Thomas Southwick, 81, a longtime resident of Beaver, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Monday, May 21, 2018. 

Born on March 6, 1937 in Chippewa Township, he was the son of the late Thomas and Hazel Southwick. Don graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1955, and began his 42 year career as an electrician at Westinghouse in Vanport.  Don married the love of his life Myrna Karr in 1959, and moved to Beaver in 1962 where they would raise their family.  Don was an avid woodworker, spent countless hours remodeling, enjoyed traveling and often spent winters in Tampa, Fla. 

He was the beloved husband of Myrna Southwick for 57 years until the time of her death, the devoted father of Donald, Kelly (Paciotta) and Michael, and the doting grandfather of Emily Paciotta, Ashley Southwick and Joshua Southwick.

Family friends will be received Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the TODD FUNERAL HOME, 340 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted directly following at 4 p.m., by Reverend Carl Neely.

Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.
