Dorothy L. (Dottie) Weaver MacBride, 78, of Vanport, passed away peacefully Sunday November 22 surrounded by her family.

Dottie was born January 14, 1937 in Leetsdale and was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Dorothy L (McKee) Weaver. She was a graduate of Beaver High School Class of 1954 and was retired from Century National Bank Book Keeping Department. Dottie loved spending her summers at the Beaver swimming pool and loved to read and enjoyed her time with family. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Beaver.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa A. MacBride, Vanport, a son, Steven E. (Karen) MacBride, Vanport, 2 grandsons, John E. (Haley) MacBride and Derek E. MacBride, 2 great-grandchildren whom she adored, Natya Jude and John Ross, a brother Leonard (Dottie) Weaver, AZ, a sister-in-law, Hilda Weaver, Patterson Township and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Larry Weaver.

Friends will be received Wednesday November 25 from 4 until service time at 6 PM in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver. Her Pastor Reverend Freda Snyder will officiate. The family suggests contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Beaver Area Memorial Library, College Ave., Beaver, PA 15009
