Ebba Darrah (Hagstrom) Cuddy died peacefully on Saturday, October 15, in the company of her family.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and homemaker, she was sustained by her Christian faith, standing shoulder to shoulder with her husband at the heart of her family. Children and their growth and creativity delighted her. Ebba was a tireless advocate for her family and an educator to the core. She loved any opportunity for a family gathering, the arts, and all things outdoors, including camping, skiing, bicycling, chair yoga, and gardening. She was a 1951 graduate of Reading’s Wilson High School and an Early Childhood Education graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College (now Kutztown University), and taught in Bucks County, PA. On March 16, 1957, Ebba married Vincent D. Cuddy, M.D. They moved with their young family to Chippewa Township in 1962.
Ebba is survived by Vincent and their children Kimberly (William) Cuddy Crawford, Mark (Penny), Michael (Karla), Becket (Edward) Lung, James, and Jonathan (Christina), along with 18 grandchildren and step grandchildren—Jennifer (Mark), Susan (Nathan), Kelly (B. Jay), Magdelaine, Joshua (Cassandra), Brandon (Mandy), Stephanie (Luke), Levi, Nicole, Gabriela, Gisela, Josiah (Natalie), Elisha, Gideon, Naomi, Carson, Jackson, and Landon—and 11 dear great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ebba was preceded in death by her sons John Kevin, David, and Don, her infant brother Harry, Jr., her twin brother Fred Hagstrom, and cherished aunts and uncles.

Dr., Kim, Mark, and Family, so sorry to hear of Ebba’s passing, Sorry I couldn’t be there to give you my condolences in person. Although I haven’t seen you all in many years, I remember the times past, like growing up in the neighborhood together, and riding the grade school bus together. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in. May all your family be comforted by your faith during this time of your loss as we believe we shall be reunited again on the last day. I will remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Michael P. Edmond

Dear Dr. Cuddy and family,
I was so very saddened to hear of your wife/mother passing. I do not need to tell you all what a special person she was. I have fond memories of many-many years ago when I was babysitting all of her children. My thoughts and prayers are with you, you are blessed with many good memories of her.
