Obituary

Edith (Dolly) T. Maljevec Jaskiewicz, 86, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Franciscan Manor, Beaver Falls.

Dolly was born on March 27, 1935 in Bridgewater.  She was variously employed by Beaver Super Market, Foodland, and McGuire Memorial, main campus, New Brighton.  She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish (Holy Family).

Dolly enjoyed the polka, crocheting, and collecting limited edition dolls and angel themed items.  She loved her many travels with her family.

Her loving husband of 67 years, Walter, preceded her in death on December 1, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Margaret Pauvlinch Maljevec; and brothers Matthew (Kathryn), Vincent (Helen), Rudolph Maljevec, and a brother-in-law, Joseph Jaskiewicz.

She is survived by sons Dr. David W. (Cynthia Frederick) Jaskiewicz and Timothy (Linda) Jaskiewicz; granddaughters, Calista Frederick-Jaskiewicz and Macy Jaskiewicz; a sister-in-law, Mary Jaskiewicz; special friends, the Briscoe Family; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 8-9:30AM at the Gabauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton.  Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 521 7^th Ave, New Brighton.

Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
