Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and brother, Edward “Ed” Spade of New Sewickley Township.

Born June 19, 1942 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Floyd and Gladys (Bard) Spade.  A 1960 graduate of Freedom High School, Ed then went on to service in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.  Ed had a love of classic cars and was a big fan of all the Pittsburgh Sports Teams.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Spade; his son, Jason Spade; two sisters, JoAnn (Sid) Martin and Linda (Dave) Droz; three brothers-in-law, Larry, Bill and John (Kim) Kaufman; two sisters-in-law, Linda Rachuba and Joni Piser; special cousins Jim and Dawna Mike; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and James Spade.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 22nd from 1pm until the time of military honors provided by the Beaver County Special Unit at 5pm in the GABAUER-FUNERAL HOME- 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton PA 15066. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 10am at St. Felix Church- Our Lady of the Valley Parish- 450-13th Street, Freedom PA 15042.

Private interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
