"Ed" White
Jul 15, 1955 — Dec 27, 2025
Edward (Ed) White, formerly of Beaver Falls, PA passed unexpectedly at Allegheny General Hospital on December 27, 2025.
Born July 15, 1955, in Beaver Falls he was the son of the late Andrew and Evelyn White. Ed graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1973.
Ed was the epitome of the self-made man. He began his working career with Babcock and Wilcox in Koppel, PA working as a Crane Operator. He later enrolled at Youngstown State University (YSU). Through hard work and perseverance, Ed financed his own college education and graduated from YSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Following graduation, Ed continued his studies and attained the prestigious professional designation of Professional Engineer.
Ed settled in the Columbus OH area (Grove City, OH) and went on to develop a highly successful career in civil engineering with a specific focus on bridge and roadway design. He worked for multiple engineering firms in the Columbus area, serving as Engineering Lead on many projects.
Outside of work, Ed found pleasure in visiting his family and friends in Beaver County. Known for his caring manner, gentle disposition and his witty sense of humor, Ed was a hero to his many nieces and nephews, and his visits were eagerly anticipated and enjoyed. He was a committed outdoorsman, especially enjoying kayaking, fishing and archery. Consistent with his love of nature, Ed had acquired a hunting/fishing camp near the Allegheny National Forest and had recently busied himself with the camp's restoration.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim White. He is survived by his siblings, Dennis (Kathy) White, Marilyn White, Barbara Jean (Ken) Graeser, Donna Marie (Jose) Johnson, Daniel (Karla) White, and Patricia (Chris) Cahalan; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He will be remembered as a generous and loyal son and brother and a treasured uncle to his nieces and nephews. Ed had a special way of making family feel extra loved and he had a rare gift for connecting with people, making friends wherever he went. He was a man of great faith and a patriot with a special appreciation for the members of our armed forces.
