Obituary

Elaine Racco Jansto, longtime resident of Patterson Heights, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in Providence Care Center, at the age of 92. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Elaine was known for her china painting and intricate works of cross-stitch.Born April 22, 1925, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Isabel (Debartolo) Racco. She was a member of the former Divine Mercy Parish, now St. Monica’s Parish.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer T. “Jinx” Jansto, and two sisters, Rafalia Sokol and Inez Racco.Elaine is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Enola Jansto of Fairview, Tenn., Robert and Catherine Jansto of Cary, N.C., and William and Beth Jansto of Harmony; five grandchildren, Susan Custer, Allison, Michael and William Jansto, and Matthew Brackett; a great-grandson, Joah Brackett; a sister, Evelyn Tribone of Patterson Heights, and many nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., gabauerfamily funeralhomes.com. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Parish, 116 Thorndale Road, Beaver Falls. Father Kim Schreck will officiate.Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.The family suggests that contributions be made in Elaine’s name to the Saint Monica Catholic Academy Angel Fund, 609 10th St., Beaver Falls, PA 15010.The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Providence Care Center for their care and kindness
