Eleanor M. (Copus) Tress, 92, of Chippewa Township, Beaver Falls, PA passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  Eleanor was born on September 13, 1930 in Ambridge, PA, to the late John and Margaret Girak Copus.  Eleanor was a lifelong practicing Catholic and parishioner of St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, Beaver Falls, PA.

Eleanor graduated from Ambridge High School in 1948 and then went to work for Union Carbide Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA, where she had a successful 18-year career, working in several roles and advanced to be an Executive Assistant for most of her career.  She retired in 1966 to start a family and be a stay-at-home Mom.  Eleanor loved being married to Jim, raising their family in Patterson Heights, spending winter months at their home in Naples, FL, and globally traveling.

Eleanor is survived by her beloved children; son Jim, San Ramon, CA; daughter Monica, Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Richard, Matthew, and Michael Kruchten; three great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law Kathleen Copus, Northfield, OH; Mary Pat Tress, Beaver, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, James F. Tress; siblings (spouses) Elmer Copus, John (Loretta) Copus, Delores (Joe) Shemensky, Leonard Copus, and Donna (John) Bodendorfer; Brothers-in-law John Tress and Robert (Anne) Tress.

The family thanks the staff at Celebration Villa of Chippewa and Grane Hospice for their care for Eleanor and support of the family.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in the GABAUER LUTTON CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Services, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., Beaver Falls, PA. www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com .  Prayers will be held on Friday morning, July 14, 2023 at 9:30am at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Monica, Chippewa, with Father Kim Schreck as celebrant.  Interment will be private.
