Elinor Jean Kindelberger, 90, of Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, formerly of Chevy Chase, MD passed away Tuesday September 8 at Passavant. She was born January 31, 1925 in Bridgewater and was the daughter of the late Emil H. Sr. and Ester C. Urich Kindelberger.
Elinor was born and raised in Bridgewater, then moved to Chevy Chase in 1943. She had been a secretary for the Post Master General Office, was a member of the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC, the Unit #0721 American Legion Auxiliary of Bridgewater and was a 1942 graduate of the Beaver High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Emil and June Kindelberger and Robert Kindelberger and a niece Diana Kindelberger Park.
Surviving her are a sister-in-law, Myrtle Ellen Kindelberger, Beaver, nieces and nephews, Thomas Kindelberger, Carol Gossard, David Kindelberger, Linda Knox, Robert and Beth Kindelberger, Cynthia Willis, Fredrick Kindelberger, Mary Kay Marburger and Barbara and Joseph Dunlap and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 8 PM in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10 AM by Reverend William H. Silver of the Bridgewater United Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
