Born Feb. 23, 1930 in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Rose Ostronich Selby.

Originally raised in Beaver Falls, she attended St. Mary’s R. C. Church and school as a young girl, then Beaver Falls High School. Soon after she married Ray W. Church, College Hill. In the 70’s after her sons graduated, she worked at a local thrift store as a manager and clerk. Then she decided to do elder care work through the Lutheran Society n the 80’s taking care of mostly shut-ins. After moving to Beaver in 2004, Betty volunteered as a “”Grandma”” for the American Red Cross “”Lifesteps”” program for about six years, which she enjoyed greatly. Finally, Betty retired having multiple health problems. Through the years, she was always there to help family in time of need and will also be remembered by her great sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Raymond Partington, in 2010; six brothers, Rudy, Steven, George, Frank, John, and William Selby; two sisters, Helen Delorenzo and Mary Kalac.
