Obituary
Elizabeth J. “Betty” (LeFebvre) Griffith, 87, of Vanport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Moon Township Rehabilitation & Wellness Center.
Born on February 7, 1936, in Industry, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Cecelia (Meridian) LeFebvre.
She had worked for the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe in Vanport for a brief stent in the 1980’s, but Betty spent her life as a homemaker and raising 5 wonderful children. Betty was known for having a spotless home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. “Griff” Griffith, on June 26, 2022; and her siblings, Agnes, Cecelia, Mary Margaret, Josephine, Lawrence Jr, Daniel, Leo, Armond, Donald, Robert, Eugene, and her twin William. Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her children; Karen (Rick Vaughan) Duffy, Doug (Peggy) Griffith, Ken (Cindy) Griffith, Roger Griffith, and Ron Griffith; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty’s wishes for cremation will be honored and no services are being planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the Moon Township Rehabilitation & Wellness Center, 951 Brodhead Road, Coraopolis, PA, 15108.
The GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 Third St., Beaver, is honored to be assisting Betty’s family during this time.
